Are you traveling anywhere over spring break? Many people are taking vacations and while the destination is lots of fun, many times the journey there is not. I am not a fan of long car rides, so whenever my family drives somewhere for vacation I try to sleep as much as possible. However, trying to sleep on cars or planes can be extremely difficult and uncomfortable. There are many products that have attempted to solve this issue, although some are a little more odd-looking than others. Here are a few of the most interesting items I have found:

A man takes a nap with the help of the Ostrich Pillow
Ostriches supposedly bury their heads in the sand to escape danger, and the Ostrich Pillow gives you the similar experience of burying your head in a giant pillow-hat in order to get some sleep on the go. The pillow fits completely over your head and neck and helps to block out light. You can also rest your head on a table and place your hands in the holes on the sides for an alternate napping experience.
Although the design looks a bit alien-ish, the pillow has extremely good reviews. The company which sells it also has other, more normal neck pillows available. If you’re interested in the Ostrich Pillow, it will cost you $99.

Two women demonstrate the Face Cradle
The Face Cradle is another interesting option. Slightly resembling a toilet seat or massage table, it attaches to the back of your seat and allows you to lean forward and rest your neck. The manufacturers claim that the angle of the pillow allows you fall asleep more easily and get deeper sleep. The pillow can also be manipulated to resemble a more typical neck pillow, providing consumers with many options.
Personally, I would be paranoid that someone would unclip the pillow while I was sleeping, but if the Face Cradle appeals to you, it can be purchased for only $69.99. This option also has good reviews, suggesting that even if these pillows do look odd, they can be effective.

The UsEasy Bendable Neck Supporter in use
The final product, which wouldn’t look out of place in a doctor’s office, is the UsEasy Bendable Neck Supporter. This product ensures that your neck will remain straight, and it can support either the front or back of your neck. The pillow itself is made of memory foam, adding comfort.
It will definitely ensure good posture, so if that’s a major concern this could be the pillow for you. However, it doesn’t seem to be very efficient for traveling, and it would probably be very inconvenient to take on a plane.
These three examples are only a few of many travel sleep products (with most being a little bit more normal). There are certainly a lot of creative ideas for improving sleep while traveling. Would you be willing to try one of these products on your next vacation?
This post was very engaging and interesting to read! I have a hard time sleeping while traveling by car or plane, so maybe one of these products could work for me. The Ostrich Pillow is a unique concept, although I think I might feel a bit claustrophobic while using it. Sometimes these new inventions can go a little too far, and it may be best to just stick with the basics. I had never heard of any of the products you discussed before reading your post!
